When it comes to bras, fit is everything. If you’ve ever bought the wrong size
bra and tried to live with it, you know how true this is. For the perfect fit,
go to a good boutique and have an expert measure and fit you. You may not be
comfortable having a stranger measure you, but it’s the best way to get a bra
that fits perfectly, and many women feel it’s worth it.
When wearing a form-fitting, low-cut garment, use a push-up bra for best
cleavage. If you’re large busted, you need a full cup with underwire. If
necessary, use a minimizer to reduce the bustline. If you’re small busted,
choose a padded push-up bra.
Wear the right kind of bra for the fabric of your garment. Smooth-seamed cups go
with knits and clingy material.
Get the color right. No black bras with light-colored tops! Choose a white or
nude-colored bra. While it’s possible to wear a white bra under a dark-colored
top, make sure no part of the bra is visible.
Your bra straps should never show. If they do, change to a strapless bra. Today
many bras have removable straps.
Avoid panty lines. Thongs or panties with smooth, flat seams and finishes will
ensure that no panty lines show through your pants.
Choose one-piece or slip-type slimmer's to look your sleekest under fitted
dresses.
Some pantliners go practically to the ankle, giving you a streamlined look.
If you want the stylish barelegged look, try wearing toeless or sandalfoot
pantyhose. Pantyhose will help hide razor cuts, uneven tans, and varicose veins.
While lingerie is not exactly underwear, it is intimate apparel, and you should
have fun with it. Your lingerie wardrobe should include casual cotton, flannel,
or velvet wear for all seasons, to sexy lace and silk or satin styles. Maybe you
will even want a thigh-high and garter belt outfit or negligee. Your lingerie
should reflect all your moods, be right for the season, and be ready for special
occasions.
